Jesus Unites Israeli and Iranian Despite Geopolitical Turmoil

In a world divided by conflict, a powerful story emerges from Encompass’s global workers in Germany, showcasing how God’s love transcends geopolitical rivalry. Given the recent Israeli bombing of Iran, this is particularly powerful and timely testimony.

Just a few weeks ago, our ministry in Germany was visited by Omar,* a Palestinian believer who currently lives in Israel. He had come to pray about the possibility of joining our team in Germany. Little did anyone know, an intense conflict between Iran and Israel would escalate during his visit.

Amidst this tension, God orchestrated a profound moment during one of our team’s outreach events. Our workers invited Omar to join an Iranian teammate to lead the group in prayer. What transpired was a moving demonstration of unity: two men, whose nations were deep in conflict joined together to pray for Jesus to be glorified in each of their countries.

“This was a powerful moment for everyone there, as we witnessed two men join together to pray over their nations,” our workers say. “They exhibited the love that comes from the Spirit of God and that breaks down walls and cultural differences.” Normally, these two would have been enemies, yet in God’s kingdom, they stood united.

We are blown away by the way God’s love can unify even the greatest of enemies. This kind of love can only happen in the Church. Join us in prayer, asking God to break down walls and unite hearts across the globe.
