Japan Summit

In recent years, Encompass has seen a marked increase in ministry interest in the Japanese people. A core team is already in Japan, and a growing wave of appointees will soon join them. We are not alone among mission agencies in this trend. Is there a divine movement of spiritual investment in the hopes of an anticipated harvest? We certainly hope so! Our current and future team extends Encompass’s long-term presence in Japan, first started in the 1980s and 1990s with multiple families from the States. Japan remains an accessible but very least-reached people group with the Gospel. The need is great.

In July, at the Charis Fellowship Conference in eastern Pennsylvania, Encompass will commission a sizable number of new staff for ministry in Japan. In September, many of them will participate in a “Japan Summit” outside of Tokyo, joining our existing team in Japan, as well as others working in the States with Japanese people. We believe that this Summit has great strategic value for our growing team and ministry initiatives. But such a gathering requires extensive planning and resources, including the finances to bring people together. Might you be part of the “extended team” of people who help make the Japan Summit possible? If so, please consider making a contribution to fund this important event. A handful of churches and a few dozen individuals can make this a reality. We’d be honored if that included you!

We ask you to join with us in praying that God would produce a spiritual harvest in the coming years in the Land of the Rising Sun, and that Encompass would be an integral part of His work. Thanks for your participation in reaching Japanese people with the Gospel!
