Growing up in Canada as the daughter of missionaries and church planters, God immersed Ana in a life of service and travel from a young age. This upbringing gave her a global perspective and a passion for connecting with people cross-culturally. That’s why she learned four languages and spent a year studying abroad in Geneva.
Currently a student at Grace College, Ana is pursuing a Masters of Divinity with a counseling focus while getting an undergrad degree in World Language and Bible. In addition to her studies, she also works for her school’s chapel tech department, helping with lights, sound, and troubleshooting. On top of that, she works as the coordinating tutor for the French and Spanish tutoring at Grace.
Despite her initial resistance to return to France, God placed Ana there last summer with Encompass where she was able to use her language skills, tech knowledge, and worship-leading skills to pour into Charis churches. “I felt like I was able to use my gifts in meaningful ways,” she says. “The Charis church in Dijon specifically needed someone who could dedicate their time to tech support, leading worship, and walking alongside people—and those are things I love to do! They already have many talented individuals in these areas, but my availability to focus fully on these needs was a key factor.”
During last year’s trip, she translated at a children’s camp, assisted with tech and worship at two churches, and poured into the local community. France has a very low evangelical population, so Ana was thrilled to be able to exercise her passion for discipleship in a culture that has such a large need. “That is what makes this opportunity so exciting for me,” she says.
By the end of that trip, the impact she made led church leaders to ask if she would come back the following year. So now she is returning to France with us in the summer of 2025 to continue blessing the churches there.
As she looks to the future, Ana humbly remains open to wherever God leads her. Whether it’s in France or somewhere else, she places her confidence in God. “I can make a home for myself wherever, and I know that God will provide,” she says.
By partnering with Ana, you are investing in French churches as well as in a young leader who’s following God’s call with humility, joy, and boldness. Will you help send her?
