February 2025 – After much prayerful consideration, Encompass World Partners is excited to announce that we are relocating our core operations and staff from Atlanta, Georgia, to Columbus, Ohio. This move is designed to deepen our connections with Charis Fellowship churches, leaders, and supporters, strengthening our ability to fulfill the Great Commission.
The mission of Encompass is to spread the knowledge and glory of God through the Gospel of Jesus Christ among the nations, especially the least reached. To do this well, we prioritize strong relationships with local churches and leaders. Our primary network consists of the 230+ churches within the Charis Fellowship, along with other like-minded churches and believers who share our mission. Relocating to central Ohio places us at the heart of this network, enhancing our proximity to key churches, pastors, and donors. This strategic shift will enable us to serve our partners more effectively, mobilizing more cross-cultural workers, and increasing global initiatives.
The decision to relocate has been extensively considered and prayed over for most of 2024. Our Board of Directors unanimously approved the move, and key leaders within the Charis Fellowship have affirmed the decision with enthusiasm. Stateside staff have been informed and consulted over many months, and plans were shared with our deployed staff during our Global Staff Conference in January 2024.
The relocation process will unfold over the next 18 months (through summer 2026), with staff moving at various points along the way. Several new staff have already been hired in the Columbus area. Throughout this process, we remain committed to ensuring a smooth transition that prioritizes the well-being of our team and the effectiveness of our mission.
Our thirteen years in Atlanta have been marked by valuable experiences, particularly training opportunities with people from around the world. The city’s diverse metropolitan environment has broadened our perspective on global missions. We trust that Columbus and its population of two million will offer similar opportunities for cross-cultural engagement. The most strategic advantage of a move to central Ohio will be the stronger relational and geographical proximity to key churches, leaders, and believers of the Charis Fellowship.
Above all, our mission remains unchanged: to take the Gospel where it is needed most, fostering growing movements of disciples, and multiplying churches worldwide. Relocating is a strategic decision which supports that mission, positioning Encompass for greater effectiveness in the years to come.
Please celebrate with us as we step into this new chapter, and pray for God to be magnified as a result. Let’s continue together making Jesus known among the least-reached!
