A New Encompass Award Given

Several FGBC leaders from around the Midwest gathered last week in Ohio at the 2017 Central Focus Retreat. Along with the fellowship and teaching experienced at the getaway, a special award was granted to a special man of God.

After more than 40 years of ministry in places all around the world, Larry DeArmey was presented with the 1st ever Relentless Pursuit of the Least-Reached Award. Encompass Executive Director Dave Guiles was pleased to grant Larry this special recognition at the Focus Retreat.

The award is given only to an individual who has demonstrated a lifetime of outstanding service in evangelism, discipleship, and training leaders for the sake of reaching the Nations. In light of Larry’s extensive ministry experience in France, Spain, Chad, Haiti, and the U.S., there was no better man for the title.

Going along with the retreat’s theme Apprenticeship, recognizing Larry’s ministry with Encompass was a great opportunity to demonstrate to all the leaders present what a true life-long mentor looks like.

All of us at Encompass World Partners congratulate Larry for his work and wish him the best in his retirement.
