Meet Whitney: A Heart for the Harvest Joins Encompass Staff

Encompass World Partners is excited to welcome Whitney to the staff as our new Mobilization Assistant! Whitney, who lives in North Lewisburg, Ohio, with her husband Jordan and their two sons, Wyatt (8) and Paxton (6), officially began her part-time role in May 2025.

As Mobilization Assistant, Whitney provides administrative support to the mobilization team. This includes organizing and adding contacts, assisting with inquiries from potential recruits, and helping to plan and organize events. Whitney is a great asset to the team, as she brings her administrative strengths and detail-oriented nature, combined with a passion for connecting with people.

Whitney’s connection to Encompass began through her church, Marysville Grace, which is a part of the Charis Fellowship. She and her husband also had the opportunity to join us for our Global Staff Conference in Portugal in January to lead worship.

Whitney’s walk with God began at a young age. Growing up in a strong Christian family, she accepted Jesus at a kids’ church camp around age 10. While she desired to live a life pleasing to God, she made some choices in high school and college that pulled her away from Him. However, God faithfully intervened in a powerful “burning bush” moment during a chapel service in college. She says, “After that Chapel service, I confessed and repented of my sins and just completely surrendered to Him in a way that I had never done up until that point.” This transformation was so significant that she chose to be baptized again, declaring how God had changed her.

Motherhood has also been a refining experience for Whitney, making her more aware of her need for Jesus and sanctifying her in new ways. She and Jordan are committed to raising their boys to know the Lord and are currently homeschooling them.

Recently, God has been stirring in Whitney’s heart the biblical truth that the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. She’s heard that verse numerous times, but says, “I just felt like He was emphasizing it more, and my heart started caring about it more than ever before.” This increasing awareness of the great need for laborers in God’s kingdom is what fueled her desire to use her gifts to support the work of Encompass.

In her free time, Whitney enjoys reading and music. She and Jordan, who is a drummer, have a shared love for music that has been a part of their relationship since college. They also enjoy vacationing as a family. Prior to joining Encompass, Whitney worked for a marriage ministry.

Please join us in welcoming Whitney to the Encompass World Partners team!
