The Charis Alliance Churches in Cameroon have about 100 churches and points of light with less than a dozen trained pastors. The Churches in Cameroon will benefit from men being trained as pastors/shepherds/teachers for their flocks, and to train the next generation.
This non-traditional training is held in the capital city of Yaoundé. Men are in class for two weeks each month, then work in their jobs and on homework during the two off weeks. Visiting professors and local trainers are investing in the lives of these men. Leaders’ wives also receive training, using creative, oral approaches for the majority who cannot read or write.
$30,000 covers the annual modules of training at our Grace Brethren Bible Institute in Yaoundé (Dr. Jason Carmean is Institute Director). Won’t you help fund the training of 22 pastors and their wives so there are more than enough leaders for the church to grow in Cameroon?
