Thailand and Cambodia Team Internship

Encompass is sending a team of interns to Thailand and Cambodia for four weeks where you’ll receive intentional training and gain hands-on experience as you work among locals. Your team will be led by a veteran cross-cultural worker as you and your teammates partner with existing ministries in each country. This opportunity is perfect for anyone who has finished high school and wants to explore international missions.

Internship Overview

• Experience Culture: Learn each country’s culture and barriers to the gospel. Visit Buddhist temples and other places of religious and historical significance.
• Gain Hands-on Ministry Experience: Partner with existing ministries and engage with locals as you learn and practice their language.
• See a Variety of Ministries: Witness a variety of local ministries to see how God is already at work throughout the region. Attend local churches, hear people’s testimonies, and learn about the obstacles they face as Jesus-followers.
• Grow as a Person: Experience deep personal and spiritual growth through daily life, Bible study, and reflection as you encounter God in a cross-cultural context.

• Pre-Trip Mentoring: We’ll provide you with personal, spiritual, and logistical guidance as you prepare for your trip.
• Orientation: We’ll help you acclimate upon arriving in each country.
• Cross-Cultural Training: We’ll equip you with missional habits used by long-term missionaries so you can implement them during your internship and recognize their value.
• Team Structure: Grow in self-awareness as you live and serve on a team.
• Field Mentoring: We’ll help you process your experiences with your team and team leader during the internship.
• Post-Trip Mentoring: We’ll help you process your experience upon your return.

Logistics

• Timeline: June 4–30, 2026
• Support Goal: $3,400 + airfare
• Housing: Lodging will be arranged for each location and may include a shared apartment with other interns or local staff.
• Transportation: You will utilize local public transportation.
