Flexibility and availability are key when it comes to church planting among least-reached people groups. That’s what Mitch and Susan have discovered in their two years living and working in N’Djamena, the capital city of Chad. 


Oumar1 is an unlikely church planter. Born into an Islamic family among one of the least-reached people groups, he was the son of the village witch doctor. As a youth, he entered the military trusting in amulets to keep him safe. At one point he was falsely accused of murder and imprisoned. That’s where God met him.


The child had spent most of her life lying on the floor. Her atrophied muscles caused her to curl up into a fetal position. Her mother or grandmother would often place sacks of flour on her limbs to try to straighten them out.
