Let me introduce myself. My name is Kate Ward. I am married to John Ward and I have three beautiful boys, Micah (9), Camden (6), and “Baby Owen” (1). My husband and I have been working with Encompass World Partners in some capacity for the last 13 years. We relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, from Ohio four years ago, when Encompass moved their headquarters. This move changed my life.

Florent Varak, director of Encompass' Church Equipping Network, and Philippe Viguier, pastor of the Grace Brethren church in Lyon, France, coauthored The Gospel and the Citizen, a book of Essays on the Christian and the Church in Politics. First offered in French, the book is scheduled for release in English on July 1.

On May 21 a team will arrive in Ecuador to care for people in deep need as a result of the powerful earthquakes that have struck Ecuador's coastal area over the last month. This team is comprised of 11 members from five Latin American countries including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Guatemala, and Uruguay.

Walking to my hotel through a rougher part of town at night was not something I had expected to happen immediately after landing in Atlanta. When I saw the place God had called me to live in for the next five months, I was a bit scared. The question on my mind was, “How can I remain safe and do ministry?” Then I realized, God doesn’t call me to be safe nor foolishly place myself in danger. I am called to be faithful and reliant upon the strength that comes from him.

Hero Welcomed to Glory!

Longtime Encompass missionary Wayne Beaver went home to be with his Lord on April 6, 2016. Wayne was used greatly by God during his earthly journey. In his 30-year missionary career in the Central African Republic, he directed the National G.R.O.W. Evangelistic Campaign which saw over 300,000 people come to know Christ. He was also involved in translating the Bible into the Sango language.
