Why does God call us to dangerous places?

If your heart beats for the nations to know God and you understand that millions of people who have never heard of Jesus Christ currently live in dangerous places, then surely, you’ve asked this question.

Have you heard of the term “laser-focused”? As you might imagine, it describes someone who is extremely focused on something, maybe a goal – never wavering in their attention – straight ahead like a laser beam. There is a man in my church in his 70s that uses this term often. I like it.

An Intentional Missional Christmas

Have you ever noticed that life naturally drifts towards self-indulgence and self-interest? Now many years into my journey with Christ I can’t say it’s any easier to assuage my flesh and live a truly selfless life. Sadly and painfully the Spirit’s work in my life is revealing more of my broken selfish state. So when the commercialized Christmas messages start piling up before my advent readings begin, it can be easy to drift down the path of least resistance.

Jamie is a tech-savvy, community oriented, well-informed, innovative, compassionate, authentic global citizen. She loves opportunities where she can be a part of a cause or movement that brings about a greater good. Her general interest in making the world a better place is one of her most admirable qualities. Jamie is a millennial Christian and proud of it.

If you’ve been tracking with this blog for any amount of time, it’s obvious that we exist to send more fruitful disciple-making teams to the least reached. But, you’re right…not everyone is supposed to go overseas to share the gospel. And for those God has called to remain in their home culture, there is a responsibility.
