Pray for the 2016 Grace College Missions Conference

Pray for the 2016 Grace College Missions Conference

Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana has always sought to encourage its students to engage in the Great Commission in ways that are fruitful and enlightening.

One of the ways they do this is through their annual Missions Conference. Since the 1960’s, the Grace College Missions Conference has blessed students with keynote speakers, missional seminars, and worship. This year’s conference takes place this week, from Tuesday, November 1st to Friday, November 4. The theme is CORE.

“Our conference theme mirrors our 2016-17 campus theme: CORE. As we study what is at the heart of our Christian faith this year, we hope students will see the value of mission work both locally and globally, as each is part of the ‘core’ of Christianity,” says Grace College’s Brent Mencarelli

The students at Grace will be challenged by God’s Word to consider how they might participate in reaching the nations for Christ. Dave and Sue Hobert and John Ward will be representing Encompass World Partners throughout the event, working to engage students with what God is doing in the world and to display the many missional opportunities available to them.

Every year students participate in a project that reflects the missional purposes behind the conference. This year the students will be raising money to help support the Chateau of St. Albain, France. Over fifty years ago, Encompass Global Workers Tom and Doris Julien purchased the dilapidated 14th-century building to create a relational bridge to the people of France. Today, the active Chateau ministry is in need of renovations to carry on its presence in the community.

Please join us in praying that the Encompass team will have the strength and energy to serve the Grace College students well. Pray for God to soften the hearts of students, that they will submit to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Ask that they may be filled with a holy ambition and a broken heart for the many peoples who have never heard the name of Jesus Christ.
