Storms wreak havoc across the globe, and often leave in their wake extensive damage to locations where resources and infrastructure are already lacking. Donations to this fund allow Encompass to work through local churches in affected areas to bring the most-needed relief.
Encompass/Charis Fellowship’s Disaster Responses to Hurricanes Florence and Michael
Both of these storms damaged or destroyed thousands of homes in the Carolinas and the Florida Panhandle.
Florence: Encompass Crisis Response, in partnership with the Charis Fellowship, is deploying 10 teams to help people in Hampstead, North Carolina. Working in partnership with Renovation Church, we are sharing the good news in deed and in Word.
Michael: Our first efforts have been in partnership with the Ghent Grace Brethren Church in getting relief supplies to the area within the first week of Michael’s impact. Plans are being made to deploy teams to help with reconstruction in January 2019.
Contributions to this fund will provide:
- Early phase – relief supplies such as food, water, tents, tarps, mud-out buckets, etc.
- Rebuilding Phase – construction materials such as drywall, lumber, hardware, etc.
Donations received beyond what is needed for the current project will remain in this fund to be available for future Storm Relief efforts.
