Crisis Response - Administrative Assistant
Is your heart gripped when the sights of a recent catastrophe or crisis in the world permeates the news? Do you wonder how you could serve those impacted by these events in their time of greatest need? Encompass Crisis Response works to respond in those times, by coming alongside existing churches and global workers to be the feet, hands, and voice of Jesus. You can make a difference in the lives of people whose hearts are open to receive the love of God. Encompass Crisis Response is currently looking for a person gifted in the areas of administration and communication to work closely with the Director of Crisis Response.
-Help keeping people informed by updating the website based on current activity.
-Invite people to get involved by writing and posting on social media platforms.
-Keep up the database so people can engage in crises using their specific skills.
-Provide administrative support to those planning to serve in a crisis event.
-Be a team player who serves others that are preparing to respond to a crisis.
-Ability with various computer and web-based applications.
-Experience using social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
-Ability to update the website using the current platform.
-Basic understanding of data systems and ability to do light data entry.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to respond at any moment when crisis happens.
If you are looking for a way to serve people, and you may or may not have the ability to go to them, this is an excellent way to get involved in crisis response. At this time the ministry can be either volunteer or part-time support based and is expected to be 2 days a week commitment with possibly heavier weeks during a crisis.
