Apostolic Church-planting Team Strategy

Stripping away the "baggage" of 2,000 years of history and cultural influence, this course analyzes the theology and practice of church planting through the eyes of those who first heard Christ's prediction, "I will build my Church." What concepts and convictions guided the daily ministry decisions of the first church planters? How did they explain the essence of the Church to cultures where no churches existed? What factors facilitated the rapid expansion of Christianity? Did the Apostles leave patterns for us to follow today? Designed specifically to equip church planters, this course offers a refreshing look at the Church for those committed to its ongoing development.

• Rediscovering the apostolic role in church planting
• Communicating the essence of the Church across cultural boundaries
• Planting churches that are not "founder-dependent"
• Developing reproducible methodologies that flow from Biblical priorities
• Creating an atmosphere that encourages new leadership to develop
• Understanding the principles of "movement generation"

• Be equipped to explain the essence of teh Church to those outside of your culture
• Understand whether you have been gifted to work in church planting or development
• Develop a model of church planting that flows directly from Biblical teaching and example
• Choose reproducible methods consistent with your model and convictions
• Avoid the dangerous dependency patterns that prevent new churches from reproducing
