The GBC in Cameroon has about 100 lay leaders of churches and points of light who will benefit from biblical training as pastors/shepherds/teachers for their flocks, thanks to gifts to this project. It is a non-traditional "school" suited to the schedules of men who take block courses for weeks at a time in the agricultural north and part-time, multi-month courses in the big cities. Visiting professors and local trainers are investing in the lives of these men. Leaders' wives also receive training, using creative oral approaches for the majority who cannot read.
A Cameroon Leadership Training Coalition has covenanted together for the next 5 years to help meet this need. This $10,000 covers the annual modules of training in our Bible Institute there (Dr. Jason Carmean is the Institute Director). Won’t you help fund the training of 25 pastors and their wives (50 people!) so there are more than enough leaders for the church to grow in Cameroon?
