Julio and Joanne Marín have sensed the Lord’s call to go to Japan for many years. Over the last 4 years, they pursued how God wanted them to go and connected with Encompass where they were approved as appointees. As they continue to pursue the next season of training for working with Japanese, it made sense to consider partnering with Cecil O’Dell and the Encompass Japanese Ministry in greater Los Angeles.

Friday, 21 March 2014 13:47

Sam and Tracey Schwartz share this exciting news from Portugal, “This last week was a huge success for our Serve the City (STC) project. Besides the Community Dinner that was paid for and served by one of the country's largest banks, and the lives we were able to touch that night (and ongoing), we also got to participate in a musical concert that raised funds for STC two days later. The Big Ask
Friday, 21 March 2014 13:40

There are signs of God's Spirit beginning to blow across Ireland. There are new churches being planted in known and obscure homes and school halls and community centres. But the movement is slow and hard won.

Thursday, 13 March 2014 15:43

In late February, Africa Field Director Frank Puhl was back in Chad where he and his family were missionaries for 15 years. He was accompanied by his newly married daughter and son-in-law, Ann-Christin & Jonas Beyer. She wanted to show her new husband where she grew up.  In addition, Mike Jentes, coordinator of mobilization initiatives was able to join them for his first exploration of Chad.

Pastor Mboi Andre needs your prayers
Wednesday, 12 March 2014 15:29

Please pray for Pastor Mboi Andre who is seriously ill. Ginger Hock spoke with him on the phone yesterday and he said that his blood pressure is high and his diabetes is giving him trouble and he is unable to get to the doctor in Bangui due to insecurity on the roads.  He asked that we all pray for a change in the security situation so that he could travel safely.  He has meds for the BP but is not feeling well at all. Pray for God’s healing hand in his life.

Pastor Mboi lives in an insecure area many miles north of Bangui where daily life is a pressure cooker, full of uncertainties and insecurities. Pray that Pastor Mboi, member of the Global Charis Leadership and mentor of currently 17 evangelists would be able to totally abide in his fortress, the Almighty One.

“Thursday, February 27th was a big day for our Cambodian Ministry Partners. They finally received their bachelor's degrees!” reports Kent and Becky Good.

Although Symean is still finishing up his last couple of months as an undergraduate and the others are already working on their Master's degrees, graduation ceremonies are only organized every 5 years or so. And 2014 was Battambang's turn for a special ceremony. There were about 1000 graduates, so it was a day of great joy for many Cambodian families.

News from Beate
Monday, 03 March 2014 17:18

During the first two weeks after her arrival back in Moundou, Chad Beate was busy getting repairs done and thoroughly cleaning the apartment. For some strange reason the electricity did not work, so two men from the DIGUNA mission came to install the inverter that she had brought from Germany. They opened the breaker box and besides eroded wires they also found a living rat! As a result some wires in the attic also had to be replaced. Again and again animals like bats, lizards or rats settle under the roof. Also, the well behind the house dried up, they rely on the water that is delivered on a relatively regular basis from the city.

Friday, 28 February 2014 15:30

Atlanta, GA, USA - Encompass World Partners announced recently that most of the operations of its Winona Lake, IN, offices will be moved this summer to its Atlanta headquarters. These include Communications, Stewardship and Distributions, which remained in Indiana when the organization relocated its headquarters 18 months ago.   "We are really grateful for the work of our Winona Lake Team, and celebrate the manner in which they have strengthened our current base of supporters and friends," explains Dr. Dave Guiles, Executive Director. "Building upon their good work, we are now unleashing more energy and resources in developing relationships and partnerships with new churches and younger church members." A small team will remain in Winona Lake for the next two years. Over the next few weeks, Encompass will be publishing Ministry Descriptions for a series of new positions. Please join the leadership of Encompass in prayer as they recruit for key new positions in Atlanta, and join them in thanking those who have faithfully served in Winona Lake.
