George Swain, GBIM staff in Prague, announced that Dave Manduka plans to provide leadership training for their church May 21-25th. Dave (former GBIM staff in Germany) is pastor of an English-speaking international church in Basel, Switzerland, working part-time with GBIM in Bible training in European and African churches.

Dave (former GBIM staff in Germany) is pastor of an English-speaking international church in Basel, Switzerland, working part-time with GBIM in Bible training in European and African churches.

John Pappas, GBIM staff Germany, is headed out for another Africa ministry trip, this time in Cameroon, from April 3-14. He plans to participate in the Cameroonian churches’ national conference in Yaoundé from April 4-9th. Frank Puhl, GBIM Regional Director for Africa, will also attend and will probably be one of John’s translators, not only for conference, but also for a Parenting Seminar planned for April 10-13 for participants from the various churches. The need for such teaching is critical, and the church leaders have requested it.

"During a nutrition class I had with the Mbaiki ladies last week, I was trying to get them to come up with protein sources that aren’t listed in the standard food charts. We finally had a list including grasshoppers, termites, palm borers, crawfish, caterpillars and water creatures of various kinds.

Adriana and Juan Saez, Argentine National Ministry Partners working in Chili, report on recent baptisms:"We are so very happy for the day of baptisms March 1st. We went to a river near by and three people took this step of obedience. For Juan, it was so very nice to baptize his sister, Antionella. Marco, for whom we prayed for many years, was baptized by José Sepúlveda. Adriana had the blessing of baptizing Lorena, a former young girl who attended the Good News Club we used to have; and now she is one of the teachers at the Children’s club. The testimonies they shared were very touching.

Jay and Jan Bell, GBIM staff ministering with Internationals USA, send an updated report on their health and plans, following an auto accident in west-central Iowa Saturday morning. They plan to rent a vehicle Monday and continue the trip. Please pray for their safety and continued rapid and complete recovery.
