Yoder Health Update #2 - Monday, December 27

Home for Christmas! We are glad to report that all of the Yoders have been released from the hospital. Joshua was released on Christmas Day while Hannah and Cedric were dismissed a day or two earlier.

The prognosis for all of the kids is good.

• Alecia's teeth are healing and stable. Pray for a good check up in two weeks and normal adult teeth development beneath the repaired gums.

• Cedric is showing all signs of health. Pray for healing for his cracked ribs and for his lacerated liver, as well as for internal "restraint" for his active lifestyle.

• Hannah is also doing well, with the same need of prayer for her liver to heal. She and Cedric will return to school next week and get a check-up at the pediatrician.

• Joshua is healing beyond our hopes. God is good. After last Thursday of nausea and eyes swollen shut, he has made remarkable progress. His right eye continues to open (left eye is fine) and eyesight seems excellent. Swelling is reduced as well as the bruising. Pray especially for good healing for the multiple stitches around his eye and nose, for tear duct and sinus healing, and for no neurological problems. All signs are good. We praise God. Joshua will likely miss two weeks of school and then return mid-January. The coming weeks will include a multitude of hour-long trips to specialists at the University of Chicago (southeast Chicago). This week we will have at least two such trips.
