Tuesday Report on Kurt Ezel

Matthias was able to visit Kurt in the hospital Monday afternoon. By this time Kurt was speaking and joking and complaining that he is bored! Matthias's mother said the difference in him between yesterday and today is like night and day. He is very weak and tends to fall in and out of sleep without realizing it and will pick up the conversation where it was when he dozed off.

Matthias said originally they had to cover up in sterile gear to visit him but then since none of the 16 different tests of viruses and bacterial cultures showed anything at all, they were allowed to take it all off again.

The doctors are totally puzzled. They say his symptoms do not match anything that they know of and tests have revealed nothing. They don't know why he went into a coma and they don't know why his kidneys failed. They put him on dialysis and then his kidneys started working again. They want to do more neurological tests to see if there is anything; computer tomography etc. So he has been moved out of intensive care and will go into the neurological sector. Thank you for your continuing prayers.
May God receive all the glory.
