Monday, the government said up to half of the city and its environs were under water. Tuesday, officials said some of the stormwaters had receded, but heavy rains continued, leaving open the possibility that floods would again claim more of the city. This Flood is not quite as bad as the Great Flood of 2009...but it may be getting there.
So far, all members of our churches are safe. But folks from Marikina GBC (MGBC) have been hit the hardest.
MGBC Pastor Franco, "All of my family is safe, but water inside our house is over our heads. Rescue boats have not yet reached us. Some church members have found shelter in evacuation shelters. Please pray."
