120 campers expected for two week camp in Roro, Chad
Please pray for two weeks of classes planned for women and children in Roro, Chad Nov. 26th-Dec. 9th. Roro is located 540 km east of Moundou over "very bad dirt roads". Beatte Schlecht, Melina Ezel, Dadje Christine and Therese will be the main teachers. They are expecting 80-100 women and 30 teenage girls. Usually there are many extra people as well, chaperones for the girls, helpers, cooks; in other words, it will be a very large group. This often means confusion, noise, and inattention. Please pray for strength and a clear mind to do this teaching (in French) and for wisdom to answer the questions.

Beatte writes, "I am very well aware that we can do this only with God's help and I thank you with all my heart for your prayers." On their last trip to Roro, in February, the teachers struggled very much with discouragement and spiritual oppression during their time there. It was a battle every time just to stand up and teach. "The battle is a real one and we need you fighting with us faithfully in prayer. Greater is He that is in us, then He that is in the world."

Pray for physical strength. It is a challenge to live in the bush for 2 weeks, camping, bucket showers, pit toilets, cockroaches, mice, eating only African food, using all day a foreign language, surrounded by people, never any privacy, heat, and besides all this, as the Apostle Paul would say, "the care of the churches."

Pray for preparations for the trip, that nothing vital will be forgotten.

Pray for good health for the duration.

Pray for the church hosting the camp. Typically the women participating will also help with all of the extra food preparation, cooking, dish washing, water hauling, finding their own firewood, caring for their small children.

Praise God for the opportunity to hold this camp at Roro. Melina writes, "We are always deeply impressed by the strong faith of these people in the face of so much opposition. It is humbling and actually we should be the students and they the teachers. So we thank God for the chance to share a tiny part of His work in their lives."
