To seek God’s direction in how to increase ownership and partnership with the Grace Brethren churches in the Philippines, a coalition of five Grace Brethren churches met with GBIM staff October 10-12 in Sacramento, CA.
The churches were asked to commit to be a part of coalition for the next 10 years, to work closely with GBIM staff and to work with the other churches in the coalition.
The churches were asked to commit to be a part of coalition for the next 10 years, to work closely with GBIM staff and to work with the other churches in the coalition.

The churches represented were:
Waterloo, Iowa
Mabton, WA
Simi Valley, CA
Lititz, PA
Sacramento, CA
The church delegates met with:
Wayne Hannah, GBIM’s Asia Regional Director
Greg Barshaw, Coalition Coordinator
Christian Beuggert, GBIM’s Philippines field director
Ted Ruiz, GBIM missionary in the Philippines
Ed Trenner, GBIM’s West Mobilizer
The intention of the coalition will be to ramp up the churches’ commitment and participation in the ministry in these areas:
Providing human resources (GO Teams, education, training)
Micro Enterprise Development assistance (business development)
Recruitment (short term and long term)
Finances
Praise God for the way He worked during these meetings! They were a huge success! Please pray as these delegates return to their respective churches and seek advice and permission from their church leaders on how they should proceed. If all churches give the “green light”, then we are praying that we can launch January 2009. Pray also for Greg Barshaw from Simi Valley as he coordinates the coalition.
