Ramadan is the holy month of Islam, when Muslims are required to fast during daylight hours.  For Muslims, fasting at Ramadan is a must in order to make sure they are living according to the codes and rules given in the Qur'an.

We can choose to fast and pray that the message of Jesus Christ will reach Muslim people.  We can come before the God of the universe and ask Him to reveal Himself to them.  We can give something up to reach out to Muslim people.

Join the Great Commission Fast and help reach Muslims for Christ.  During the month of Ramadan (August 1-29), will you go without something for 29 days?  Will you pray for Muslims around the globe?  Will you give to ministries that reach Muslims with the hope of Christ?

What is Ramadan?

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. During the 29 days of Ramadan, Muslims are required to fast from food and drink during daylight hours. Fasting is intended to help Muslims focus on their spirituality and ensure that they are following the codes and laws of Islam.  Ramadan is traditionally a time to receive revelations from Allah, to pray more often than usual, and to give to the poor.

What can you do?

Islam is currently the fastest growing religion in the world.  The number of Muslims, lost, hurting and without the love of Christ is growing daily.  But they do not have to live without hope; we as Christians can offer the hope of eternal life and salvation through Jesus to our Muslim friends.  Will you prayerfully consider committing to pray, fast or give in order to reach Muslims with the hope of Christ?

PRAY

Commit to praying throughout the month of Ramadan (August 1-29) for the light of the Gospel to reach the darkest corners of Islam.  Sign up to receive daily prayer request emails during Ramadan, or visit this page to view the requests to guide you through 29 days of prayer.

FAST

Muslims must give up food and drink during daylight hours in Ramadan.  Why not fast with them?  Commit to going without something for 29 days...your daily Starbucks, iTunes money, or eating out.  Choose something whose absence will remind you to pray for Muslims who are living without a personal relationship with the Creator of the universe.

GIVE

Muslim people groups are among the least reached with the Gospel in the world.
Consider giving to ministries that reach out to Muslims and offer the hope of Jesus.
