Third Edition of Nativity at the Chateau de Saint Albain
Wednesday, 11 December 2013 16:51
Dave and Sue Griffith along with many committee helpers are busy getting ready for the third edition of the Live Nativity Scene and Christmas Market at the Chateau of St Albain December 14 and 15.
They write, “We have something new this year - a life size lighted decoration that shows the nativity scene and then switches to a scene with two people kneeling before the cross. It's the last thing that people will see in their visit, and we are praying that they will understand that Christmas is so much more than the baby in the manger."
- Please pray for good weather for the event
- Please pray for good teamwork for the final preparations, set up and the event itself
- Pray that a lot of people will come and will be impacted by the message
- Pray that a large number of people will recenter the Christmas season around Christ's birth
- Pray that there will be a good response to invitations given to the Christmas services in Tournus and Macon

The following news was sent from Mboi’s home in Bambari on December 7th. “I am back from Dimbi yesterday evening, (a town situated in southern CAR along the DRC border between the Oubangui River in the south and the Kotto River in the north). Our time there was very difficult because we were bothered a lot by the former s_l_k rebels. Please, you won’t bring with you some items as cell phone, camera, etc." Continue...
Evacuation Orders Issued for CAR
Friday, 06 December 2013 19:56
In consultation with Central African leaders and in light of a recent deterioration in security, Encompass World Partners has issued evacuation orders for our personnel serving in Bangui, CAR. We request urgent prayer for 1) obtaining travel documents, 2) protection while awaiting flights, and 3) a successful transition of local responsibilities into the hands of national leaders.
The Jensen family will relocate to Yaounde, Cameroon, where they will engage in discipleship of local leaders, pursue French language study and assist with CAR relief efforts. Barb Wooler is wrapping up her assessment of urgent humanitarian needs and is returning to the U.S to continue to develop proposals for concrete ways Encompass can assist in crisis relief efforts. Decisions concerning other staff will be announced soon. We anticipate that this evacuation may last twelve months or more.
We also request urgent prayer for national church leaders and members in light of increases in rebel activities and continuing deterioration of security. Encompass will be shifting its focus from partnerships in church planting, leadership development and integrated ministries to assisting with crisis relief efforts.
We will release additional information as it becomes available.
Dr. Dave Guiles
Encompass World Partners

Typically a smile on the face of an African disappears when a camera comes out. It’s just part of their culture – not smiling in photos. But Simon Pierre Nadjilao, President of the Grace Brethren Churches in the CAR, could not contain himself as a symbolic check was handed to him in the Atlanta offices recently.Continue...
