Storms wreak havoc across the globe, and often leave in their wake extensive damage to locations where resources and infrastructure are already lacking. Donations to this fund allow Encompass to work through local churches in affected areas to bring the most-needed relief.
Current Project: Hurricane Harvey Relief
As Hurricane Harvey’s flood waters continue to rise, we are watching and praying to know how to help. We pray for the people of Texas, many of whom are experiencing the loss of all their earthly possessions, and we are watching to determine how best to help. (“Ready…Shoot! Aim” is a poor strategy.)
WHAT: Send 10-15 teams to help local Houston churches serve their communities
WHO: Local churches in or affiliated with the FGBC serving local evangelical churches damaged by Hurricane Harvey winds and floods in Houston, Texas
WHEN: Mid-September to early December, 2017
WHERE: Houston, Texas and possibly other areas of Hurricane Harvey
HOW MUCH: $20,000 to be used for relief supplies, building materials, tools, travel for teams, etc. DONATE BELOW
