In memory of Dr. David Plaster’s life and marking the 1 year anniversary of his home-going March 6, GBIM is naming the library of the James Gribble Leadership Training Center in Dave’s honor.
Currently, less than 50% of the 2,400 registered churches are led by trained pastors. In order to effectively train new leaders, plans have been made to construct the James Gribble Leadership Training Center on ten acres of land approximately ten miles from the center of Bangui, Central African Republic. Money raised will be used for site development, security, student and faculty housing, and classroom building. Click here to learn about the current building under construction: the Learning Center.
The James Gribble Training Center will provide training and discipleship for the next generation of African leaders. A fully equipped library is a must for this facility and you can help make it possible.
What better way to forever remember who Dave Plaster was than by setting apart a place where future leaders will be mentored and trained.
The Aquila Project supplements the training of Seminary and Bible Institute students through intensive courses taught by experienced North American pastors and teachers. Through a strategic partnership between central African churches you could have the opportunity to teach a one-week intensive course designed to impact the next generation of African leaders.
Three weeks in Africa will give you insight and experience in the challenges and opportunities of the African reality. In Bangui, C.A.R. you will have access to a broad variety of ministries. Mentors, Mike and Myra Taylor, will use the first week for training and hands-on experience in cross-cultural ministry, the cultures of Africa, and our ministry strategies in Africa. You will spend the next week in the homes of Africans with specific cultural and ministry assignments. In the final week you will work with Africans on a ministry project to help the people of Bangui by giving tangible evidence to God's love for the Africans.

The Timothy Project is an answer to the church leadership crisis in Africa. You'll be linked with young African leaders and their families as they are trained to lead these churches. Sponsor a Bible student for $40 per month or a Seminary student for $120 per month. The Timothy project provides approximately 1/2 of the cost of tuition, housing, food and medicine to reduce the financial strain on the student's family.
Sponsors are making a commitment to1 full year but are encouraged to continue for the 3 year duration of the student's study. Once you sponsor a student, a packet will be sent to your home with a picture of the student and his family.

Project Hope and Charite works to restore orphans with opportunities such as education, sufficient food, clothing, medical care, discipleship, vocational future, and most of all, HOPE for a bright future. By sponsoring an orphan, you commit to praying for a child, writing 2-3 letters each year, and giving up $1 per day to make all the difference in the life of an African child.
