In Western Europe, Christianity was effectively replaced by humanist philosophies. The regions of the world where relativism, individualism, and existentialism reign supreme are also spiritually bleak. For this reason, the gospel must be sown creatively, and disciples must be taught well. Several Encompass World Partners staff members in Europe work to support Grace Brethren church planting ministries as well as the larger body of Christ in both Europe and Africa. The Grace Brethren commitment to the Word of God is fostered by offering leadership training. The publishing ministry of Editions Clé provides border-crossing, essential Christian media resources that help Christians communicate the gospel and contribute to their spiritual growth.

1. Pray the first French edition of Logos Bible software being developed by Editions Clé will be completed in the coming year.
2. Pray the following theological resources to be released by Editions Clé this year will impact Christians in the French-speaking world: The Expositor’s Bible Commentary, The Three Princes by Tom Julien, The God Who Is There by Don Carson, and The Meaning of Marriage by Timothy Keller.
3. Pray for the training of national leaders, as they are subject to spiritual attack, may lack encouragement and support, and often have little formal training.

• Less than 10 percent of French people own a Bible and 80 percent have never handled one. Yet, Bible sales are at an all-time high, spurred by evident spiritual hunger.
• In France, there are more people earning a living in occult practices than there are registered doctors, and 10 times more than evangelical pastors and workers.
• Teaching and training have been offered in five different language settings, representing multiple ethnic and national backgrounds (in one case over 25 nationalities).
