The Czech Republic has the most resistant soil of the seven European countries in which Encompass World Partners is serving. Less than three out of every 1,000 Czechs claim to be evangelical. While the Czechs have a rich Christian heritage (John Hus, a Czech, was burned at the stake in 1415), today they are staunchly anti-established church. Due to abuses by the Roman Church, Nazis, and Communists, the Czech people have become skeptical, finding it difficult to trust in anyone, including Christ.

- Pray 12 men and 10 women will be discovered and discipled for leadership roles in the Prague GBC through study and prayer together as well as joint outreach practical training with Encompass staff during the next three years.
- Pray for strength, maturity, and boldness for the leaders and people of the Prague GBC who live in the midst of a harsh spiritual climate. Pray the church will stay solid and grow.
- Pray for Czech students, studying English and German at the Campus Crusade language center, to come to Christ and join with the GBC in Prague.

God has raised up leaders for the Grace Brethren Church of Prague. They are being equipped for ministry and their children are hearing the gospel.

- Population: Of the 10.3 million inhabitants, 1.2 million live in Prague.
- Only 0.25 % of Czechs claim to be evangelical, making them an un-reached people group. Less than 1 percent of all Czech children have opportunity to hear the gospel.
- The Czech Republic does not grant official church recognition to any group of less than 300 people.
