The evangelization and discipleship of children must remain one of the most important priorities of every family and church. Many Central African churches do not have specific ministries devoted to discipling children. Encompass World Partners is addressing this need through Bible teaching, developing materials, and training youth and children’s workers.
- Pray God will continue to raise up men and women with a passion for evangelizing and discipling children and youth, both by their words and their examples.
- Pray pastors, church leaders, evangelists, and believers will grow in their vision for developing effective ministries for children and youth.
- Pray for the development of biblically-based and culturally appropriate training methods and materials for evangelizing and discipling children and youth.
Praise God for increasing/expanding the vision of several faithful believers in the Chadian Grace Brethren Fellowship who are reaching out to children and youth.
- 46 percent of Chad’s population is between the ages of 0 and 14, meaning there are almost 5,000,000 children in Chad!
- Infant mortality rate: 95/1,000 (ninth worst in the world). Parents wait a week before naming a newborn baby.
- Average number of children per mother: 5.05 (among the highest in the world).
- Maternal mortality rate: 1,200 deaths/100,000 live births (third worst country in the world).
- Life expectancy: Women: 49 years; Men: 47 years.
